Hetronic, a global leader in the design and manufacture of configured Industrial wireless Radio Remote Control (RRC) system solutions unveils its NOVA USTC Series portable ground control stations (GCS) for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) and unmanned sea vehicles (USV). The NOVA USCT Series has been developed in partnership with LikeAbird, a leader in UTM & BVLOS Connectivity and power management for unmanned systems.
The NOVA USCT (Unmanned Systems Control Transmitter) is a fully integrated industrial and rugged handheld ground control station for VLOS and BVLOS operations. The flag-ship, the NOVA USCT 4.3 offers the latest machine-to-man interface technology with a new 4.3” TFT color display, tilt-sensors in the handle for improved safety, optional 9.0Ah or 10.6Ah lithium-ion battery pack for extended use and real-time data capability.
The NOVA USCT 4.3 is designed with Hetronic safety, rugged dependability and ergonomics that provide enough room for proportional and switch functions. As standard it includes a throttle and a three-axis joysticks (Roll/Nick/Yaw), predefined toggle switches, rotary switches, buttons and LED’s. The layout can be tailored to customer’s requirements.
The 4.3” TFT color display is available for real-time data access and telemetry feedback as well as wireless real-time video capability. Other features of the NOVA USCT 4.3 include optional internal adjustable tilt sensor or leading edge TouchSensor™ sensors in the handles that provide an enhanced “man-down” safety feature.
Using the NOVA USCT 4.3 internal data gateway and with the ability to quickly adapt components such as video receivers, antennas and digital modems, the system can interface with almost any fixed-wing or multi-rotor UAV and autopilots, including MAVLink based systems. The NOVA USCT 4.3 is a highly modular system that is easily upgraded and future-proofed.
The integrated IP (Ethernet) interface allows the use of the NOVA USCT 4.3 even for BVLOS operations using industrial WiFi and proprietary high power data links, and cellular networks.
The NOVA USCT 4.3 will be delivered with a the rugged enclosed 2.4 GHz FHSS diversity receiving unit with standard PPM output and MAVLink serial interface for telemetry feedback.
